Big, Wide, World
This project has a geography focus and teaches children
about contrasting locations overseas and how it may have
similarities and differences to the place in which they live.
At the heart of this project children learn to write simple
reports and learn additional skills of
sentence writing and explanation.
The children will finally apply their skills and
understanding by creating digital postcards of their locality.
In this project the children will learn:
To use geographical and research skills;
To find out about their locality and contrasting locations
overseas;
To compare factors such as weather, geographical features,
population and lifestyle.
