We believe the ethos of the school should be built on a foundation of core values. These will be embedded on a monthly basis along side the rights throughout the curriculum and will also be addressed in assemblies and Collective Worship. Our values are the basis for the social, intellectual, emotional, spiritual and moral development of the whole child. Each week, one child per class is awarded a coveted Headteacher's Award linked to them displaying the monthly value and right.
Our new rights and values - written By James Samuel, Oskar Williams, Melissa Hughes and Evelyn Hamel
On 21st September, we had a discussion with Mrs John about changing some of the values and rights. We decided on having some new values and new rights for the year ahead such as generosity, creativity, kindness, and thoughtfulness. We mixed up some of the values from last year and added some new ones.
Each month, we will be focussing on a new right and value. The rights will be explored in assemblies and in classrooms, with Headteacher awards being given to children that have been nominated by their class teachers.
