Welcome to Nursery!
On our class page you will be able to see some of the fun learning activities and special moments
that happen in Nursery. I hope you will enjoy talking about them with your child.
Our Nursery team are myself, Mrs Whelan, Miss Thompson, Mrs Thomas, and Mrs Morgan. We hope your child will have lots of fun and look forward to getting to them.
Autumn 2- This term our topic is Paws Jaws and Claws.
In nursery we are learning about ‘PETS’.
If you have any pets please send us some pics on SeeSaw. The children love to see photos of their favourite pets in class and happily talk about them.
We kicked off our new topic with a special visit from a very old pet; Hercules the Tortoise. All the children were curious and excited to meet a real tortoise. They found out how to look after and care for him and even helped to make his hibernation box.
Autumn Leaves-
We collected lots of dry leaves to make a blanket for the tortoise. The children collected, counted, compared same and different, and identified big and small leaves. We had lots of fun observing how the dry leaves fall when we put them in the parachute.
Bore da Pawb. I am thinking of you and hope you are all safe and well. While you are at home there are still lots of amazing opportunities to keep learning. Remember to practise writing your name every day. Also we are practising counting forwards and backwards. Some of you may start with 123, then try to 5 and back. If you can do it then try to 10 and back. Look out for things you can count and numbers around you every day.
Have a look at our weekly activity sheet. Even if you can't use Seesaw, there are lots of things you can do. You can always send me some photographs at nursery@bracklaprimary.co.uk.
