Urdd Adran: 2013 - 2014

What is Urdd Adran?

Every year the children of Brackla Primary School are given the opportunity to join the ’Urdd’, an organisation specifically for the children of Wales.

By taking part in the half-termly Adran sessions the children are encouraged to take part in a variety of activities with a Welsh theme, using the Welsh language where possible. As well as the Adran sessions, being a member of the Urdd opens up a wealth of opportunities, such as;

- taking part in sports competitions, e.g. rugby, football, swimming and netball (for which the school is already recognised), gymnastics and cross-country running;

- competing in the ‘Urdd Eisteddfod’, e.g. singing, dancing, recitation, Art work, and more;

- residential courses and trips such as Llangranog, Oakwood and the Jambori.

If children would like to become a members of the ‘Urdd’ for the academic year 2013/14 please contact Mrs. K. Davies.

Next Adran Session

Our next Adran Session will be held on Tuesday 19th November. All Urdd members 2013/2014 are welcome. Please bring £1 to contribute towards resources and refreshments.
