Families at Brackla

Being a parent or guardian is the most important job a person can have and it can be the most challenging. At Brackla Primary School we offer a wide range of opportunities to help support you and your child.

Daily Drop in Sessions

Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (8.50am-9am)

Literacy Course

Tuesday (9am-11am)

A great way to refresh your knowledge or start from scratch and be able to support your child with literacy. Our lovely tutor from Bridgend College is there to help. Very informal and free refreshments provided.


Chill & Chat

Wednesday (9.15am-11am)

A great place to meet other families from school and chat over a cuppa, make some crafts or just have a catch up!  Younger siblings welcome.


Reading Cafe

Wednesday (3.15pm-4.15pm)

Come along with your child and enjoy a weekly story and craft, an opportunity to read with your child and ask any questions. 



Family Active Zone 

Thursday (9am-10am) New nursery children.

FAZ is a program designed to give the children a chance to learn and practise the movement skills of agility, balance and co-ordination in a fun and exciting way.


Language and play 

Thursday (2pm-3pm) Different year groups each term, (Currently R/Yr 1 )

Enjoy songs and rhymes with musical instruments, parachute play, weekly story and craft. 

A great way to spend quality time with your children in a fun and exciting way, (Younger siblings welcome)
