Summer Term 2019

This term's topic is 'In Somebody Else's Shoes'. This is a broad, exciting topic which looks at different people from around the world from all walks of life, from the rich and famous to the poor and needy. It incorporates learning about different countries, cultures and religions and comparing how they live to how we do. We will be actively involved in doing our bit to try to make this a better world for those that need help.

SAL'S SHOES

We are collecting pre-loved shoes to send to children in poor countries that don't have any shoes. In many of these countries children aren't allowed to go to school unless they have shoes. We will be raising money through doing a Bags to School collection and holding a quiz evening to pay to send these shoes to Third World Countries.

Important information

Our PE day is Tuesday so children need to bring full PE kit - white t-shirt and black shorts and trainers. This term we are doing outdoor PE.

Fruit is on sale every breaktime and is 30p per day. Children are in charge of their own money in KS2 so can keep the money in their bags and pay for the fruit themselves.

Please ensure your child brings their reading book every day. We aim to listen to each child twice a week - once during Group Reading and once individually. They also have 5 minutes reading time during registration time each morning.
