Welcome to Reception

 My name is Mrs Driscoll and I am the Reception class teacher. Mrs Charles and I would like to welcome you all to your child's new class and we are looking forward to a fun filled year. 

This is our 'Welcome to Reception' letter with everything you will need to know for the year ahead. If you have any concerns or questions,please do not hesitate to ask.

All the adults at school are here to keep you safe. If you are worried about anything please talk to your teacher. Mrs Baldridge and Mrs John are always here to listen too.

Spring Term 

A World of Change - Bedtime at Brackla

Our new topic for this term is Bedtime at Brackla. This topic's major focus will be on Humanities.

We have had a great start to our new topic. We had a message that Mr Williams saw a flash of light in the night sky and we had to work out what it could be. Here are our ideas

Then we decided that we needed to investigate. We set off on our adventure and this is what happened.

We came back to class and did lots of star and bedtime activities to help us decide what we needed to do next and what we wanted to learn more about. We all had excellent ideas.

We can not wait to start our learning about Bedtime at Brackla. We will keep you posted so check again soon.

What a busy time! A Christmas concert,a Christmas party, Christmas dinner and a visit from Father Christmas!

Time to Party!

After all our super learning it was time for a party. We used everything that we had learned to plan the party. We created our own bunting and tablecloths,showed off the dance moves we had learned and lots lots more. We had a great time partying too!

Penblwydd Hapus

We have been very busy learning new skills. We have explored with different materials to create birthday cards and birthday cakes. We have painted in the style of different artists and practised using our singing voices to sing Happy Birthday in English,Welsh and Spanish!

Autumn Term - Amser Parti

Our topic this term is Amser Parti - Penblywydd Hapus. The major focus of this topic will be Expressive Arts. Here our ideas of what we would like to learn about.
