This half term our topic is 'Community Explorers'.
It has a geography focus and teaches children about the geographical and human features of their local community. At the heart of this project, children will write a range of instructions and directions using maps and first hand experience. In addition they develop skills using the language of position and direction.
The children will apply their skills and understanding by creating their own large scale 3D map of the local area. We will be finding out how our community has changed over the last 50 years and our thoughts for the future of Brackla.
Our Maths will have a community focus as we learn to use odd and even numbers, learn to give change and use the bus timetable to learn about time.
