Safeguarding

Safeguarding at Brackla Primary School

At Brackla Primary School we take all aspects of Safeguarding seriously and seek to ensure all our children are both safe and happy at school.

Safeguarding is about keeping children and young people safe from abuse or neglect. All those who come into contact with children and families in their everyday work, have a duty to safeguard and promote the welfare of children. Brackla Primary School acknowledges the importance of its role in the welfare of its pupils. We are dedicated to ensuring the safety and protection of all our pupils and will take action to safeguard their wellbeing, knowing that children have a right to protection.

We work in close partnership with outside agencies to safeguard children. When concerns are sufficient it may be necessary to make a referral to Children’s services. All staff have undertaken safeguarding training that equips them to recognise and respond to any concerns. We have a Child Protection and Safeguarding policy and robust procedures are in place to safeguard our pupils. Any concerns are shared with the Senior Teachers responsible for Safeguarding and Child Protection

If you are concerned about any child, please come and speak with either of us at school or ring on 01656 815570
