Welcome to class 1DH's page! This year we have 2 teachers, Mrs Delgado (Monday-Wednesday) and Miss Herne (Thursday and Friday). Mrs Drummond is our classroom support teacher throughout the week. Here are a few things you might want to know:

PE

PE is on Thursdays so please ensure your child wears PE clothes to school on this day, until further notice.

OUTDOOR LEARNING

Outdoor Learning is every Friday so children will need to come equipped with Wellies and a raincoat as we usually go out unless the weather is very bad.

FRUIT AND WATER

At the moment we are not providing fruit due to COVID restrictions, so please provide your child with fruit (that they can open or peel themselves) along with a drink of plain water. 

READING

They should bring their reading books every day. We aim to listen to the children a few times every week and would hope that the children would also read at least 3 times a week at home.

Homework

All homework this term will be done via the Seesaw app and is given out every other Wednesday, for which they have a fortnight to complete. Your child should have come home with a sheet with a QR code which you can use to access their Seesaw account and includes instructions on how to do this. If you are unable to access you account, please let us know and we can provide you with your access code.

We will also be using Seesaw this term for uploading pictures of practical tasks we've done in class and as the children become more familiar with using it, they will also use Seesaw themselves to upload evidence of practical independent tasks in the classroom.

Occasionally we may prepare classroom tasks that will be put on Seesaw. These are to be completed in class, not at home and we will clearly label these 'not homework'.
