As part of our whole‑school spring topic 'Material Magic', 5/6HJ will be investigating the science behind solving mysteries in our exciting unit 'Who Dunnit?'  Pupils will explore how materials change by carrying out practical experiments that reveal both chemical and physical changes. Throughout the topic, they will develop their enquiry skills by asking scientific questions, making predictions, and using accurate scientific vocabulary to describe what they observe. The children will also learn the important difference between reversible and irreversible changes, discovering which materials can return to their original state and which undergo permanent transformations. It promises to be an exciting and curiosity-filled journey into the magic of materials!
