As part of our exciting spring term whole school topic, 'Material Magic',  3/4M will be exploring 'Science for Survival! , a science rich adventure into how materials and the natural world help us stay safe in challenging environments. To spark curiosity from the very start, the children will take part in immersive learning activities  designed to hook their interest and get them thinking like real scientists and explorers. Our starter text, the gripping book 'Stranded' by Ævar Þór Benediktsson, will lead us into the thrilling theme of surviving on a volcanic island, inspiring pupils to investigate the science behind materials, habitats, and the forces of nature. It promises to be a dynamic and imaginative learning journey full of discovery, problem-solving and hands-on exploration.
