Summer Term

This term, children across the school will be enjoying a new topic called 'All Change.' This topic brings together learning from Humanities, Science and Technology and encourages children to explore the world around them and how it changes over time.

One of our main areas of focus in Nursery will be journeys. We will begin close to home by exploring our local area, helping children to develop a strong sense of place and an understanding of their community. As the topic continues, pupils will think about different journeys people make and how places are connected to one another.

In Science and Technology, children will be learning about the living things in our environment. They will investigate plants and animals, finding out how they grow, change and develop over time. Through observation, outdoor learning and practical activities, pupils will build curiosity and care for the natural world around them.

'Journeyswill offer lots of opportunities for exploration and hands-on learning. By starting locally and building outwards, we hope children will make meaningful connections between their learning in school and their everyday experiences.
