This spring term, we are excited to launch our whole school topic 'Material Magic', a Science and Technology theme exploring the fascinating world of materials and how we use them. In Nursery and Reception, children will delve into 'Marvellous Materials', discovering how everyday items can change, mix, bend, stretch, squash, melt and freeze through hands on activities and playful investigations. We will be engaging with some wonderful books and creative challenges that bring materials to life. To showcase our learning, we will be hosting a 'Wacky Workshop' towards the end of the term—an interactive event where families can join us, explore our creations, and see the amazing science behind our work. We can’t wait to share our magical material adventures with you!
